Bill Payment & Presentation Disclosure

Community Trust Credit Union’s Online Bill Payment & Presentment Service

Congratulations! With CTCU’s e-Bill Payment service you will no longer need to write checks or go to the post office; all payments are made directly from your CTCU checking account. Community Trust Credit Union’s online bill payment system allows you to set up recurring payments, make one-time payments, and track payments to individual payees – anywhere you have access to the Internet.

Enrollment in, and use of the e-Bill Payment service is free of charge for all active users using a personal checking account as a funding source. If you do not use the bill payment service for three consecutive months, your Bill Payment account will be considered “in-active” and you may be assessed and charged an “in-activity fee” of $5.00 per month. Your bill payment service will be deactivated at the Credit Union’s discretion.

ELECTRONIC BILL PAYMENT AUTHORIZATION

By submitting this enrollment application, you hereby authorize Community Trust Credit Union e-Bill Payment service to follow the computer generated payment instructions it receives from you or an authorized user. When CTCU Bill Payment service receives your payment instruction(s), you authorize it to debit your payment (checking) account and remit funds on your behalf to the designated payees. Further, you understand that you are in full control of your payment instructions and your payment account. If at any time you wish to discontinue using the Bill Payment service, you must provide written notification to Community Trust Credit Union not later than ten (10) days prior to the actual service discontinuation date. You may send written notification to 1313 Skokie Hwy. Gurnee, Il. 60031 or by email to: webmail@ctcu.org. Community Trust CU may terminate the use of the Bill Pay service to any individual at any time without advance notice.

You also understand that payments will be sent either electronically or by check and may take up to ten (10) business days to reach the payee. This means that the scheduled payment dates you select must be 5 to 10 business days, excluding holidays before the actual due date of your payments. Community Trust CU is not liable for any service or late charges levied against you by a payee. Community Trust CU is not liable for any damages you incur if you do not have sufficient available funds in your payment funding (checking) account to make a payment on the scheduled payment date, if the estimated time to allow for the delivery of the payment to a payee is inaccurate due to delays in mail delivery or changes of merchant address or account number, if you have entered an incorrect account number, if a payee has failed to account correctly for the payment in a timely manner, or for any other circumstances beyond the control of Community Trust Credit Union.

You understand that this agreement has been provided to you electronically when you registered for this service. You can download a copy of this agreement from the welcome screen within e-Branch.
