Member Appreciation Day 2007
Perfect weather, good food, friends make annual event special
This year's Member Appreciation Day. Good weather greeted the members as did CTCU staff all dressed in their "We Can Do That" shirts. That positive attitude was displayed by everyone as the CTCU Operations Manager directed traffic in the parking lot, managers ran the Prize Wheel Game and tellers made sure everyone ate their fill and felt welcome.
CEO Madeline Lipka and Max Millions, the CTCU mascot, greeted guests as they arrived. "This is an important event for CTCU," said Lipka. "Families with three and four generations of credit union members were here today. Imagine that! And there were plenty of new faces too. This is what makes CTCU special -- the people," said Lipka as Max nodded.
The three-hour event attracted members from the local area and as far away as McHenry. Held at the main branch in Gurnee, festivities kicked-off at 9am. Soon the smell of brats and hamburgers (prepared expertly by Maravellas Restaurant) was waifing through the area enticing members out of the lobby and even the drive-thrus lanes. Holly Nagel amazed the children and adults with her balloon creations. Everyone was in great spirits as members spun the Prize Wheel, entered the drawing for a $500 Gas Card and visited with friends.
