Groundbreaking Brings First Credit Union to Lake Villa

Community Trust Credit Union Breaks Ground at Deep Lake and Grass Lake Roads.

(Lake Villa, IL October 2, 2007) On September 25th work began on Lake Villa's first Credit Union. Representatives of Community Trust Credit Union's staff, board of directors and membership welcomed civic leaders to take part in the "Groundbreaking Ceremony" that marked the beginning of construction on its newest full service branch in Lake Villa.

"We're excited to bring the Credit Union Difference to Lake Villa," said CTCU's President/CEO Madeline Lipka. "And the branch is centrally located to serve the residents of Antioch, and Lindenhurst as well."

Community Trust operates member service branches in Gurnee and Grayslake and has demonstrated its commitment to those communities in many ways ranging from support of local organizations, charities, schools and clubs.

"I'd like to thank our CTCU staff and volunteer board members who have been working very hard to make this new branch a reality."

At the event, Madeline introduced Nikki Grover who will be the branch manager of the Lake Villa facility. "I'm looking forward to challenge of opening this new branch and bringing CTCU's brand of personal service and community involvement to Lake Villa.

When completed, in Spring 2008 (projected), Community Trust's Lake Villa branch office at the southwest corner of Deep Lake Road and Grass Lake Road, will provide a new, economical and local banking solution to area residents who are looking to enjoy the "Credit Union Difference," including reduced fees, better rates and yields, and individualized banking services.

The grand-opening of CTCU Lake Villa will coincide with credit union's 75th Anniversary of serving its member-owners throughout Northeastern, IL and Southern Wisconsin.
