Community Trust Credit Union Conducts Flying Lessons for Gurnee Days' Super Heroes

(Gurnee, IL, July 13, 2007) -- When their boss says "JUMP!" these employees really do ask "How High?" That's because they're members of the Community Trust Credit Union (CTCU) Super Hero Parade Brigade - the group representing the credit union this August 12th in the annual Gurnee Days Parade. The group has been working on their parade entry for weeks and is looking forward to the big day.

"Super Heroes" is, coincidentally, the theme of this year's Gurnee Day's Parade so the CTCU group should fit in well.

"More often than not, I need to maintain my mild-mannered alter-ego but, on Parade Day, I can be me," said Tom Stroner, who by day is Operations Manager at Community Trust's main branch at 1313 Skokie Highway in Gurnee. "We're looking forward to leaping things in single bounds, upholding justice, and tossing candy to the citizens along the route," he added.

Other members of the CTCU Parade Brigade include Liz Camarda, Kara Orlando, and Aggie Panzarino. These and other Community Trust staff members will meet and greet parade goers along the 5-mile parade route that steps off at Old Grand Ave. and Greenleaf Ave. and continues west-bound down Old Grand Ave. finishing at the Grade School.

Community Trust Credit Union continues its long tradition of marching in the Gurnee Days Parade and is once again sponsoring the Baby Contest on Saturday, August 11th in front of the band shell (registration is at 10:30 and the contest begins at 11:00 a.m.), as well as the Gurnee Days Fireworks presented by the Mad Bomber Fireworks Company. The event will blast off at 9:30pm, and there will be excellent viewing throughout Viking Park, so bring your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy the show.
