According to Wikipedia, during 1836 celebrations which marked the 60th anniversary of the U.S. Declaration of Independence, the community of what is now Libertyville voted to call itself Independence Grove. Another "Independence Grove", though, was already in existance elsewhere in the state, and so the next year when the village got a post office, it was registered under the name Libertyville. - Live or work in Lake or McHenry Counties in Illinois or Kenosha County in Wisconsin, or have a relative who is a CTCU member.
- $50.00 to open a membership.
