Similar to a Money Order, a Cashiers Check is a check-like instrument, used to make purchases or pay for services when payment requires a higher level of reliability and security than a personal check or cash. Cash funds are collected by the Credit Union and a cashiers check, backed by the credit union is issued. Payee and amount are pre-filled, and check is signed by the credit union president. There is no additional cost to members issuing a cashiers check for an amount over $1000. There is a $3.00 fee for checks under $1000. Cashiers Checks must be purchased with collected funds or cash only. We require payee's name and address to process your check. If you need a check payment for less than $1,000, you might consider a Money Order. |
